I'm finally on a vacation and I thought it's great time to share with you how to spend your time on it! And it's not including internet (at least not all of them).
I can't describe you how much I love summer. I'm born in July and I think that's why I love it even more. I love everything about summer. It's time when you spend more time time with your family, eat more ice cream than you should, stay up all night (without guilt) to watch your favourite show or movie or enjoy all amazing sweets that summer has to offer.
My first suggestion would be to spend more time with your family and friends without internet! We spend too much time browsing Instagram and Facebook. Imagine if we spend that time with our loved ones! I think we would be more fulfilled and happier. It's important to take care of people that we love. You can play board games with them, take a walk with them. You don't need money for any of that. Be creative! Make something with your family or start drawing together, doesn't matter if you don't have skills for it. It will be fun, I promise! Last year, my boyfriend and I made a boardgame. We couldn't find it online, so we made one at a seaside! We made it from a scratch and it was so fun, it was even funnier to play it.
If you don't have enough time during the year for reading books, now it's perfect time for it! Whether you are at a seaside, mountain or home do it. Even though if you don't like reading so much, you should try it. You will be very happy and excited when you finish one, I love that feeling.
Play board games! I probably sound like a kid, but summer is perfect for playing board games! I'm not thinking of classic ones like Risk, Monopoly and Scrabble. Do your homework, there are so many cool games out there, I promise! You can play it with your friends and family. It's great way to spend more time with your friends and family and it's so much fun!
Subsribe for online courses! I always thought they don't have much to offer, but I was so much wrong! They can inspire and teach you a lot! Two months ago I subscribed to Azalle and I can't tell you how helpful it was. Founder is Zanita, a blogger that I love and respect so much. It's a platform where other succesful bloggers are telling how they made it and they are giving us advices on how to step up your game on Blog, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. There are photography courses as well with Zanita, which are very helpful if you are a beginner. You have two of them, how to understand your camera and to took better photos and how to edit them. The one that I loved the most is from Jenny founder of Margo and Me . If you love strategies you will enjoy this course. It will change your perspective and turn you into bussiness mode. It's so worth it!
I hope you enjoyed my suggestions and I can't wait to hear yours! Let me know in the comments how you like to spend your time on summer or vacation.
I'd love to go on a beach vacation! Your pics look like you had a blast!
ReplyDeleteMy family's just starting to get back into board and card games. I'm also s big fan of online courses. Much more affordable than college lol

It is so hard for me to disconnect on vacation! Especially when the work emails seem to come in double while I'm away. I try to keep my books in book form instead of a tablet or phone so I can lock my phone in a safe and avoid the distractions!

ReplyDeleteThis is great! Although I'm taking a vacation this summer, I am planning a trip to Turks and Caicos in February so I'll definitely keep these tips in mind! Do you have any board game suggestions that aren't as popular?
ReplyDeleteDear Ana, I truly hope you posted this BEFORE you went on vacation, haha. Jk, I've got a vacation planned for September (feels like forever until I'm there) and I've promised myself to leave my laptop at home and actually enjoy real life and do stuff without having to document every single thing I do. Reading books is something I'm really looking forward to doing as I love reading, but just can't seem to find the time to do that and how I do miss those board games. Basically I only play those during Christmas when my entire family gathers, but I miss the joy of being a kid and playing those with friends. Maybe something I should do with friends again. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation sweetie!

I love these suggestions. I also love trying something new or out of my comfort zone on holidays. This trip I'm trying diving, which I'm a little nervous about!
ReplyDeleteYou are totally right! Get off of internet and enjoy your time with the family. I have been enjoying my time with my sister while she has visited me and to be honest, we barely used our phones, because we have been so busy seeing stuff, getting to learn something new in museum. Summer rocks! when is your bd?

Awesome tips for switching off Ana! I couldn't agree more with you though I might feel weird if I can't scroll instagram feed on my phone / record IG stories when overseas. But spending quality time with our loved ones beats anything else.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacay btw :)

It is so important to get off the internet and unplug sometimes. We are so connected and relying on our phone, wifi, it is shocking to see how many people look at their phones when they are sitting across each other during lunch and dinner. So I'm totally agreeing that unplugging and re-connect with life is good for the soul.

ReplyDeleteThese are some great tips on what to do while on the vacation. Thanks for sharing them. I personally love the board games, this is definitely my cup of tea, haha! And I absolutely agree with you, what can be better than to relax and read a good book you wanted to read during the year. I'm also trying o stay away from the Internet, because this me-time is so precious so you don't wanna share it with the world, right? All in all, great post. And I'll definitely take a look at those online courses you mentioned here.

First, your look is absolutely lovely! I adore that red once piece! The back detail is so stunning! These are such great tips! It can be such a challenge to disconnect! We just got back from vacation last month and I made it a point to turn off my phone pretty much the entire time we were there and it felt INCREDIBLE! I think it's SO fun that you made a board game! How cool is that! Also, I find this to be just a generally useful post on how to unplug from daily life. I have a book I've been trying to read for a good bit now but most night I forgo to scroll online! Thanks for the inspiration for the week!

I'll be honest, I have never been on vacation where I have completely turned all electronics off and focused on my family. It's so sad, but true. I'm going to make a point to only focus on them next time and explore more! Thanks for sharing Azalle with us too. Sounds like a great thing to subscribe to. Headed there now!
